Waltham, MA, January 30th, 2017: Leading up to the Global Premier Soccer FC Bayern National Team selection events in February, GPS will be individually introducing each of our 10 coaches who are set to lead the National Team Program for 2017. These are elite coaches based at GPS franchises across the country, hand selected to provide a paramount learning experience that will challenge each and every player identified to compete at the highest level.

GPS are proud to announce that John Price from GPS New Hampshire will be the head coach of the 2000 Boys National Team who will participate in the July 2017 Edition of the Super NI Cup in Northern Ireland.

John Price has been part of GPS NH since February of 2013, initially as Director of Coaching for the club and now as Technical Director of Soccer.

Thanks to Price experienced leadership, GPS NH has developed in the last years teams and is  now well established as number one in the State, winning many State and Regional Titles. The successful completion of this pathway was been 2016 US Club National Championship won by the GPS NH U15 Boys team, led by Coach Price.

This outstanding achievement supported Price in his successful run for the GPS Coach of the Year 2016 title.

2017 is not Price’s first time coaching with the GPS FC Bayern National Team, as he took the 2000 boys to the semifinal of the prestigious Surf Cup in California, last July. Price also holds three Australia/NZ top-level coaching badges along with UEFA B and USSF B Licenses, which highlight his vast soccer knowledge and experience as a coach that will benefit the talented players he is set to train.

“It’s an honor to be involved in the GPS national program and especially continuing with the 2000 group adding many up and coming top level players from the country” Price said. “Selecting the best will be an enjoyable yet challenging experience in Carolina.”

During the GPS FC Bayern National Team Camp (Rock Hill, SC, Feb 10-12), John will select the 16 players that will compete in the Super NI Cup. For the first time ever, Global Premier Soccer will held a three-day selection process with more than 140 players attending the camp, traveling from all over the country.
