Jeni Plender Scholarship Fund

By GPS NH Media, 03/21/18, 11:30AM EDT

Dear Parents, players, and club members

We are less than a month away from the start of our Calendar fundraiser for the Jeni Plender Scholarship Fund. In 2016 Jeni lost her battle with cancer and it is our goal to keep her memory alive. She is missed by her family, friends, teammates, and club. We want to celebrate who she is, how important she was to all who knew her and never forget her.

The fundraiser in 2017 raised over $25,000, 2018 we are going to beat this. Money raised has gone towards offering players and families opportunities within GPS New Hampshire and additional GPS Programs. As well as our continued support of Boston Children Hospital, who gave fantastic support to Jeni and her family when they needed it most.

Prizes will be drawn each Wednesday in May.  Entry into the raffle is $10 for the entire month, meaning you are entered into every single draw being made in May.

Calendar Details – We will begin distribution Monday, April 9th.  Coaches will hand each player a packet of 10 calendars.  We are asking each player and family to sell these calendars to family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone else you can think of, to support such a great cause and stand a chance to win some fantastic prizes along the way.

There is no limit on the number of calendars a player can sell, please just ask for more. As an incentive to make more sales there is a superb reward for the individual Male and Female in the club who can sell the most calendars. There will be a $500 voucher to spend on WeGotSoccer for those two individuals as a thank you from GPS New Hampshire for their support.

Each week you will receive a reminder from your coach to assist and continue your sales.  All sold and unsold calendars, as well as all monies collected, should be returned to GPS New Hampshire in a sealed envelope with the players name, age group and coach on it by Friday, April 27th, 2018. Also, please enclose a list of the calendars sold – with the number of the ticket, the name of the purchaser and their contact details – in the envelope.

All money collected will be going towards the Jeni Plender Scholarship Fund.
